The UK needs skilled people to drive its development. Our booming economy and low unemployment means we need to look offshore to fill the demand for specialist talent and skills.

Looking for skilled people
The UK economy is one of the strongest in Europe. Inflation, interest rates, and unemployment remain low and our need for specialist skills remains high. 

There were 667,000 job vacancies for the three months to October 2007, up 10,800 during the previous quarter and up 67,100 during the year.

The UK currently needs to fill skill shortages in engineering, healthcare, teaching and veterinary surgeons.
